Today in Roseau, the streets were filled with the sights and sounds of Carnival as the Official Opening Parade kicked off at 3 pm.
Here are a few snaps to give you a taste of what’s to come for Dominica’s 2016 Carnival on February 8th and 9th.
Dominica’s Carnival is both unique & traditional. Unique in that you can get up close to experience the excitement. Traditional in terms of the old time characters you see playing mas – from the traditional Sensays and Ban Mouve, to the Darkies and Bwa Bwa — the Afrikulture Stilt Walkers are a crowd favourite!
