About
Description:

Dominica’s national Independence Celebrations culminate on November 3rd and 4th, usually with a Military Parade and Cultural Gala in Roseau (Nov. 3rd), and Community Service events in villages throughout the island (Nov. 4th).

Events begin about a month before and include a Heritage Day, Creole Day, and the colourful Market Day with a Difference. The Cultural Gala is for many the highlight.

Activities on the Calendar of Events include National Days of Prayer and Thanksgiving, National Emblems Week, Flag Day, Jounne Chapo Pay Day, Market Day with a Difference, Madam Wob Dwiyet Pageant, National Wob Dwiyet Pageant and World Creole Music Festival events.
